Prince William Says: Ocean Life is Disappearing Fast

  What Happened?
   Prince William said that animals and plants in the ocean are dying quickly. He gave a warning
that we are losing ocean life right in front of us.

  Why is this happening?

   He said the oceans are in danger because of:

• Too much fishing – not enough fish left to grow.

• Plastic waste – oceans are full of garbage like plastic bottles and bags.

• Climate change – the ocean is getting too hot.

• Dirty water – oil and chemicals are harming sea life.

  Why is this bad?

   If ocean life keeps dying:

• We will have less food from the sea.

• Many animals like fish, turtles, and dolphins may go extinct.

• The earth’s weather will get even worse.

  What should we do?

   Prince William said we need to:

• Stop using so much plastic.

• Protect ocean areas where fish and coral can live safely.

• Work together – all countries should help.

• Support new ideas and solutions to clean and save the oceans.
