1. Worcester Cathedral, England
A famous pair of peregrine falcons, Peter and Peggy, laid 4 eggs this year. One chick hatched on Easter Sunday but sadly died the same night. Another egg didn’t hatch at all. Now, only two chicks are left and they seem healthy.
This happened when the live camera was not working, so the reason for the chick’s death is not known.
2. Wisconsin, USA (We Energies Plant)
Two falcons named Brynn and Beasley, who had been coming to the same nesting site since 2014, were found dead within days of each other.
One was found inside the nest, and it’s likely they died from bird flu. Their deaths are very sad for the local bird watchers and nature lovers.
3. Christchurch Priory, England
Another falcon pair died a few days apart. The church website shared the news, but no cause was given.
This has worried bird lovers because many falcons are dying suddenly.
