Kali Yuga The Dark Age Begins

    Kali Yuga: 

     In Hinduism, time moves in a cycle of four big ages. These are:

1. Satya Yuga – the age of truth

2. Treta Yuga – the age of good values

3. Dvapara Yuga – the age of confusion

4. Kali Yuga – the age of problems (this is the age we are living in now)

    Now let’s understand how Kali Yuga began.

 
Before Kali Yuga – What Happened

    Before Kali Yuga, the world was in Dvapara Yuga. During this time, Lord Krishna was alive. He helped the
Pandavas in the Mahabharata war — a big war between right and wrong.

    After the war ended, there was a lot of sadness, destruction, and pain. People had become selfish and angry. Lord
Krishna saw that good values were going down. So when his time was over, he left Earth.

   The Start of Kali Yuga

    As per Hindu scriptures, Kali Yuga started the moment Lord Krishna left the Earth.

      It began on 18 February 3102 BCE, at midnight.

    This moment is known as the beginning of a time when:

• People started lying more

• Anger, greed, and hate increased

• Peace and kindness slowly disappeared

• People stopped caring about God or truth

    This is why Kali Yuga is called the “dark age.”

 
Who is Kali?

     Here, Kali is not a goddess. He is a demon, who represents:

• Lies

• Anger

• Greed

• Ego

• Violence

   As soon as Lord Krishna left, the demon Kali entered the world and started spreading bad values.

    What Happened in Kali Yuga

• People became more selfish

• Families broke apart

• Life became shorter (from 1000s of years to just 70–100 years)

• More diseases, disasters, and wars started

• People forgot spirituality and focused only on money and power

    Good News About Kali Yuga

     Even though this is the most difficult age, small good deeds mean a lot now.

     If you:

• Speak the truth

• Help others

• Pray or chant God’s name

• Live simply and kindly

    You can earn great blessings. Even small acts of goodness are powerful in Kali Yuga.

What Will Happen After Kali Yuga?

 
At the end of Kali Yuga, it is believed that a new divine figure, Kalki Avatar (10th avatar of Vishnu), will come
to destroy evil and start the next Satya Yuga — the age of truth again.

• We are living in this age now

• But even now, doing good things can bring great results
