Wild vs Golden Knights – April 20, 2025 – Game Summary

     On April 20, 2025, the Vegas Golden Knights played against the Minnesota Wild in Game       1 of the NHL Playoffs at T-Mobile Arena, Las Vegas. Vegas came out strong and won the
match 4–2, taking a 1–0 lead in the series.

     For Vegas Golden Knights:

  • Brett Howden was the star, scoring 2 important goals – one early in the third period and another into an empty net just before the game ended.

  • Tomas Hertl started the scoring in the first period and also gave an assist.

  • Pavel Dorofeyev scored his first-ever playoff goal during a power play.

  • Adin Hill (goalie) made 18 saves and helped Vegas maintain control throughout the game.

    For Minnesota Wild:

  • Matt Boldy scored both goals for Minnesota.

  • Kirill Kaprizov helped with 2 assists, setting up both of Boldy’s goals.

  • Filip Gustavsson (goalie) made some big saves, especially on breakaways in the second period.

     How the Game Played Out

  • 1st Period: Vegas took the lead with Hertl’s goal. Minnesota answered quickly with Boldy’s goal. Score: 1–1.

  • 2nd Period: Dorofeyev scored during a power play, giving Vegas a 2–1 lead.

  • 3rd Period: Howden scored to make it 3–1. Boldy gave Minnesota some hope with his second goal (3–2), but Howden sealed the win with an empty-net goal in the final second. Final score: 4–2 for Vegas.

   Game 2 will also be in Las Vegas on April 22, 2025, before the series moves to Minnesota for the
