Met Gala-

 The Met Gala 2025 happened on May 5 in New York City, and as always, it was a big night full
of amazing outfits. This year’s theme was “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion,” and it
focused on Black fashion and style—celebrating how Black people have used clothes to show
pride, creativity, and identity for over 250 years.

What Was the Theme About?

 The theme came from a museum exhibit called “Supernatural: Tailoring Black Style.” It
showed how Black men and women have dressed in stylish, bold, and powerful ways from the
1700s to now. The idea was to honor their beauty, culture, and history through fashion.
